Penn State football is turning back the clock for a “Generations of Greatness” game on Saturday against Indiana. Many aspects of the game will be from previous decades.

The Nittany Lions will have numbers on their helmets, which was normally part of the uniform previously (1959-1961, 1967-1974). The team will also be wearing white cleats among other retro uniform changes. The cheerleaders will also be wearing 1950s outfits.

Musically, the Blue Band and the in-game music will play hits going back to the 1950s up to today.

On the field, the Nittany Lions will have blue and white diamond end zones in recognition of the 1960s.

Penn State is a program known for its proud traditions. So the diamonds are a really different look.
