BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU’s 49-game home winning streak against nonconference opponents came to a close Saturday night when the No. 25-ranked Tigers welcomed Troy to town.
LSU could not overcome a slow start and fell 24-21 to the Trojans. This marked the first time LSU has suffered a loss to a team from the Sun Belt Conference. The Tigers last lost a nonconference game at Tiger Stadium back in 2000, which was Nick Saban’s first season at LSU’s coach.
