When Kansas State gets into a goal-line situation, there’s no doubt who Wildcat coaches will insert in the game.
Designated short-yardage fullback Winston Dimel entered the game Saturday and did what he does best: scoring touchdowns.
Dimel scored on a 1-yard plunge to boost the Wildcats to a 17-3 lead.
It was Dimel’s 20th career rushing touchdown on 53 lifetime carries.
He’s scored twice on 5 carries this season after notching 12 TDs on 30 carries last season and 6 on 28 carries in 2015.
Dimel is an extremely productive player deep in red zone.
But it probably doesn’t hurt him that his father, Dana Dimel, is Kansas State’s offensive coordinator and running backs coach.
