Purdue releases funeral arrangements for former coach Joe Tiller

Purdue released funeral arrangements for coach Joe Tiller on Sunday.

Taking place in Buffalo, Wyo., a viewing will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Oct. 10 with a funeral mass scheduled for the following day.

The Tiller family has requested that donations be made to the Cowboy Carousel Center and the Fabry Support & Information Group in lieu of flowers.

Tiller passed away Saturday morning at the age of 74. He had an 87-62 record during his tenure with the Boilermakers, which lasted from 1997 to 2008. Frequently recognized as one of the godfathers of the spread offense, he led Purdue to the 2001 Rose Bowl, the team’s first Rose Bowl appearance since 1967.
