Report: Arkansas WR La’Michael Pettway suspended, removed from Razorbacks program

After coming into the Arkansas football program as a highly-regarded recruit, Razorbacks’ wide receiver La’Michael Pettway has found it hard to find much playing time for Bret Bielema’s program.

That, apparently, may not all be due to Pettway’s talent. According to Whole Hog Sports’ Jimmy Carter, Pettway was ‘removed from the program’ on Tuesday after academic concerns and an inability to show up to team activities on time. As a result, Pettway was suspended for Saturday’s game:

A redshirt sophomore, the 6-foot-2, 220 pound Pettway has caught two passes in his Arkansas career, one for a touchdown last season against Alcorn State.

Pettway is the cousin of star Auburn running back Kamryn Pettway.
