Baylor is hiring former NFL strength coach Kent Johnston to be a part of its football staff, according to SicEm365’s Colt Barber.
Johnston, the father of Baylor linebacker Clay Johnston, will reportedly have an advisory role with the Bears’ strength and conditioning program, but his exact position has not been determined. He previously served on staff with five different NFL franchises, most recently the Chargers.
The former NFL staffer also has collegiate experience, including two stints at Alabama.
Jeremy Scott will still serve as Baylor’s director of athletic performance. He previously served in the same capacity under Matt Rhule at Temple for four seasons.
