Report: Nation’s No. 1 recruit will be in Eugene for Oregon spring game

Kayvon Thibodeaux, a 5-star defensive end and the nation’s No. 1 recruit in the 2019 class according to 247sports, will reportedly be in attendance for the Oregon Ducks’ spring game.

“I’ll be at Oregon for the Spring Game,” Thibodeaux said, per 247sports. “I like the Oregon staff a lot, they have been recruiting me really hard for awhile now. I also plan to get out to USC and UCLA for spring practice since they’re local and close to home.

Thibodeaux is also reportedly interested in Florida State, currently coached by former Oregon head coach Willie Taggart.

“With FSU, I like coach Taggart and the new staff. They have a lot of great players, it’s a great atmosphere and I think they’re going to have a great season. Florida has a new staff too and I like them a lot. They have been recruiting me really hard and have shown a lot of interest so I’m showing that same interest back.”

Currently attending Oaks Christian High School in California, Thibodeaux’s presence at the spring game gives the Ducks a great opportunity to woo the country’s top prospect.
