This is not the way Billy Kennedy and the Texas A&M basketball program wanted to start their season. According to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman, freshman point guard has been suspended for the first five games of the Aggies’ season for ‘violating university policy:’

This is not Caldwell’s first issue with being able to get on the court, as he was ruled ineligible prior to last season.

A four-star recruit in the class of 2016, according to 247Sports, Caldwell is a 6-foot-1 point guard. It is unclear at this time what exactly Caldwell did that violated Texas A&M’s policies. When he returns, Caldwell figures to be in competition for a starting spot.
