Self said that Azubuike practiced at full speed on Tuesday. He has played sparingly in the Jayhawks’ two March Madness wins.
The sophomore center averages 13.2 points per game, 6.9 rebounds per game, and 0.6 assists per game. Azubuike did not play in the Big 12 Tournament due to the injury. Kansas won the Big 12 Tournament anyways, as well as finished No. 1 in the conference in regular season play.
Should the Jayhawks win, they will take on the winner of 11 seed Syracuse vs. 2 seed Duke. The Jayhawks are one of the odds-on favorites to win the NCAA Tournament following a wild first weekend.
