Sean Miller will not coach Arizona at Oregon; Deandre Ayton will play

Arizona coach Sean Miller, who reportedly was caught on tape discussing a $100,000 payment to secure freshman center Deandre Ayton’s commitment to the Wildcats, will not coach the game Saturday night at Oregon.

Greg Hansen of the Arizona Daily Star was first to report the news, which was then confirmed by ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.

The school later confirmed Miller is out for tonight, with associate head coach Lorenzo Romar handling coaching duties at Oregon. Arizona also announced that Ayton will be in action:

The Wildcats will be without junior guard Allonzo Trier, who on Thursday was declared ineligible by the NCAA for testing positive for a banned substance, and freshman forward Ira Lee, who is sitting out with a concussion.
