South Carolina offers 2019 QB committed to Arkansas

On Monday night, South Carolina offered 2019 quarterback Ty Evans, a 3-star prospect from Colorado who’s committed to Arkansas.

Evans, the No. 9 pro-style quarterback in the country, has been committed to the Razorbacks since July. Despite the offer from South Carolina, he tweeted that there’s “no change to status with Arkansas.”

The timing of the Gamecocks offers is interesting, because the two teams are set to face off Saturday afternoon at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia.

South Carolina offered 2019 4-star quarterback Sam Howell (Monroe, N.C.) on Friday. Garrett Shrader (Charlotte, N.C.) and Ryan Hilinski (Orange, Ca.) are the only other 2019 quarterbacks with an offer from the Gamecocks.
