South Carolina recruiting: Dakereon Joyner accounts for 5 touchdowns

One of the top gets for the South Carolina recruiting efforts in 2018, 4-star quarterback Dakereon Joyner, had a big night on Friday.

Joyner accounted for 5 touchdowns in Fort Dorchester High School’s 63-8 win over Stratford. Joyner, threw 3 touchdowns and rushed for 2 others, is ranked by the 247Sports composite as the No. 10 dual-threat quarterback in the Class of 2018.

Below are a few of Joyner’s highlights from the Patriots big win.

Four-star safety Marlon Character Jr., who will play cornerback at South Carolina after his season at Northwest Mississippi Community College, had a tackle for the Rangers on Thursday night.

Three-star running back Deshaun Fenwick had a 12-yard touchdown run and a 45-yard touchdown reception for Braden River High School in a 41-35 loss to Venice.

Three-star wide receiver Tyquan Johnson caught 5 passes in Screven County High School’s 35-0 win over Harlem. One of Johnson’s catches was a 6-yard score.
