South Carolina’s Terry Googer appears to have avoided the worst-case scenario after a scary hit on Saturday night.
After a scary scene that included ripping off his facemask, shoulder pads and jersey before being taken off Kyle Field via stretcher on Saturday night, there is some positive news to report in the early going of his recover.
During the second quarter of the Gamecocks game with Texas A&M, SEC Network sideline reporter brought good word to viewers in the form of an update from South Carolina team doctor Jeff Guy, who went with Googer from the stadium to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in College Station, Texas.
“He is moving all of his extremities,” Cubelic said Guy reported. “He seems to be doing fine. He will stay and Scott & White Hospital for further evaluation.”
