It was a scary moment for South Carolina’s Terry Googer.
The Gamecocks wide receiver went down during the first quarter of a game against Texas A&M at Kyle Field on Saturday night.
He was without movement as emergency response personnel cut off his facemask, shoulder pads and helmet in a scene that was so scare that the SEC Network chose to send the broadcast back to the studio while Googer was being helped onto a stretcher.
“He did move, he gave a little bit of a wave once he was in that cart,” SEC Network host Dari Nowkhah said as they took the coverage back to the field.
Googer gave the crowd a thumbs up prior to being carted off the field.

SEC Network sideline analyst Cole Cubelic reported that Googer is being transported six miles to a hospital in College Station.
“Will Muschamp did not leave his side,” Cubelic said. “There was a lot of concern on his face.”
The well wishes came pouring in via Twitter shortly after the hit occurred.
