Now a special meeting of the Louisville Athletic Association has been called for 1 p.m. Monday. The only agenda item is now former Louisville coach Rick Pitino.

The Athletic Association board of directors includes interim Louisville president Dr. Greg Postel, who earlier Monday released the notices of suspension sent to basketball coach Rick Pitino and athletic director Tom Jurich.
Pitino and Jurich were both placed on administrative leave last week after the program was linked to a federal fraud and corruption probe that determined a high school basketball prospect was paid approximately $100,000 to sign with a school, which was labeled “University 6” in the report.
The prospect is believed to be Brian Bowen and the school is believed to be Louisville, which then took action to remove Pitino as its coach and Jurich as its athletic director.
