On Saturday, Camden (Ark.) Fairview offensive tackle Stacey Wilkins announced his top 10 and four Big 12 programs survived the cut.
Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and TCU are each still being considered entering the final stretch in Wilkins’ recruitment, along with Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, USC, Ole Miss and Memphis.
A 4-star prospect Wilkins has seen his recruitment take off as of late, with numerous offers flooding in, including his invitations from TCU, Oklahoma State and Texas all coming within that past month.
Wilkins’ Longhorns offer was extended following his Junior Day visit, in which he raved about Texas offensive line coach Herb Hand and told Burnt Orange Nation that the Horns will receive one of his official visits.
As noted in his Twitter announcement, Wilkins will continue to consider other options outside of his top 10, as he holds 19 offers to date. However, Wilkins is currently scheduled to announce his commitment on May 9, meaning other programs aiming to leave an impression must do so in the relatively near future.
To date, Arkansas owns four of Wilkins’ seven Crystal Ball projections, with the other three favoring Oklahoma.
A 6-foot-7, 280-pound prospect, Wilkins is ranked as the nation’s No. 343 player, No. 37 offensive tackle and the No. 4 player in Arkansas, per the 247Sports Composite.
