5-star WR visiting Gators next weekend for Florida-LSU game

Jordan Whittington

Florida’s noon game against Vandy didn’t draw many visitors, but the Gators will have a huge recruiting weekend next Saturday.

One of the biggest names in attendance will be Jordan Whittington, a 5-star wide receiver from Cuero, Texas for the Class of 2019. He is ranked the nation’s No. 5 WR and No. 25 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite.

Whittington received an offer from the Gators on March 25 and visited Florida two months later for Friday Night Lights. The 6-foot-1, 198-pound receiver planned to make his commitment on Oct. 1, but has since delayed that decision so he can take his time with the recruiting process.

Florida, Texas and Texas A&M are the top schools for Whittington. Gators QB commit Matt Corral, who will also attend the LSU game, is already recruiting Whittington ahead of his trip next weekend.
