TCU undefeated with ESPN College GameDay in attendance

History says ESPN’s decision to send College GameDay to TCU this week bodes very well for the Horned Frogs.

TCU is undefeated when its game is featured on GameDay. That includes a 4-0 record when GameDay is on the campus where the Frogs are playing, plus a 1-0 mark when GameDay attended the Rose Bowl when TCU played Wisconsin.

Here’s every TCU game College GameDay has attended, along with the results:

Date Game Result
Oct. 24, 2009 No. 7 TCU at No. 16 BYU TCU, 38-7
Nov. 14, 2009 No. 16 Utah at No. 4 TCU TCU, 55-28
Nov. 6, 2010 No. 3 TCU at No. 5 Utah TCU, 47-7
Jan. 1, 2011 No. 3 TCU vs. No. 5 Wisconsin (Rose Bowl) TCU, 21-19
Nov. 1, 2014 No. 7 TCU at No. 20 West Virginia TCU, 31-30

This week’s game against West Virginia will be the second time ever GameDay has broadcast from TCU’s campus. It’s the second time the GameDay crew will be on hand for a game between the Frogs and Mountaineers.

The Frogs’ average margin of victory in those previous five games was 20.2 points. Maybe the Mountaineers should be concerned.

TCU and West Virginia will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT on FS1.
