Junior defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick has been a key part of Alabama’s defense over the past three seasons. And opposing coaches realize that as they are preparing to face the Crimson Tide.
This week, Alabama faces Texas A&M. And ahead of this Saturday’s matchup, Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin had some high praise for Fitzpatrick as his offense prepares to try to figure out the challenging Tide defense.
“I think he’s one of the best players in the country,” Sumlin said of Fitzpatrick, per Ben Baby of The Dallas Morning News.
Sumlin also noted that he believes Fitzpatrick should be a candidate for the Heisman Trophy this season.
