The already-daunting task of taking on the Kansas Jayhawks at Allen Fieldhouse just got much taller for the Texas Longhorns.
The Longhorns, which are already without multiple key contributors and fighting for an NCAA Tournament berth, will take on the No. 6 Jayhawks on Monday without star freshman forward Mohamed Bamba, as he will miss the game as he battles a toe injury, per a release from the school.
With sophomore guard Andrew Jones out as he battles leukemia and junior guard Eric Davis Jr. out due to an investigation after he allegedly received impermissible benefits from an agent, Bamba’s absence leaves Texas with just eight available scholarship players entering the Kansas game.
Texas will visit Kansas on Monday at 9 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on ESPN.
This story will be updated.
