Texas releases spring practice injury report, updates status of QB Shane Buechele

Texas football will be without tight end Cade Brewer during spring practice, but quarterback Shane Buechele is healthy after undergoing hip surgery during the offseason, according to the Austin American-Statesman’s Danny Davis.

Longhorns coach Tom Herman provided a full injury report on Monday with spring practices scheduled to begin this week. He said Buechele is fully healthy and will share first-team reps with Sam Ehlinger.

Texas will be without at least three players at the start of spring practice, including Brewer, who is dealing with a knee injury. Running back Kyle Porter is listed as questionable.
