Texas Tech safety Vaughnte Dorsey cleared to play vs. Oklahoma State after concussion

Texas Tech starting safety Vaughnte Dorsey will reportedly be available against Oklahoma State this week.

Dorsey suffered a concussion last week against Houston. The Texas Tech medical staff said he has cleared concussion protocol, according to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal’s Don Williams.

Dorsey was taken off the field in a stretcher after covering a kickoff in the fourth quarter of the Houston game.

The Red Raiders will need Dorsey and their whole defense at full strength against the Cowboys. Oklahoma State has one of the nation’s top passing offenses.

Texas Tech hosts Oklahoma State at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on FOX.
