Another quarterback target for the Gators has scheduled a visit this spring.
Top-100 overall recruit Jayden Daniels plans to take a trip to Florida on Wednesday. It will be an unofficial visit for the 4-star QB from Cajon High School in San Bernardino, Ca.
Daniels received an offer from the Gators on Jan. 16 and has been in communication with Florida coach Dan Mullen and quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson, his primary recruiter. He holds more than 20 offers and added Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State to his list in February.
Southern Cal is going all in for Daniels and the in-state Trojans are considered the team to beat in his recruitment. However, he’s still in the early stages on his process and wants to take official visits in the fall.
Daniels is ranked the nation’s No. 2 dual-threat passer and No. 97 overall recruit in the 247Sports composite. He’s one of five quarterback targets who plan to check out the Gators this spring.
Florida hosted the nation’s No. 1 dual-threat QB, Taisun Phommachanh, for an unofficial visit on Tuesday ( read more). The Gators are also scheduled to host 4-star QB Sam Howell on March 30 and 3-star signal callers David Baldwin and Jalon Jones on April 14.
