USC signs the most states’ No. 1 prospects, Oregon second

It’s no secret that the USC Trojans and Oregon Ducks are not just West coast brands, but national brands.

That played out on the recruiting trail in 2018.

According to Rivals, USC led the nation in signing a state’s top prospect with 5 states to its credit — a mark it was tied for along with Clemson.

From Rivals:

USC was equally successful as the Trojans finished with an impressive haul. The Trojans signed the best players from California, Hawaii, Oregon and Nevada as WR  Amon-Ra St. Brown, LB  Kana’i Mauga, ATH  Talanoa Hufanga and LB  Palaie Gaoteote were all signed. Plus, USC went to Missouri and landed four-star DT  Trevor Trout.

Oregon also did well, scoring 3 state’s top prospects. The Ducks landed QB Tyler Shough from Arizona, OL Penei Sewell from Utah and DB Adrian Jackson from Colorado.

Who signed players ranked No. 1 in their state?
