On Friday, reports were coming out that Ed Warinner was expected to become Michigan football’s offensive line coach.
One day later, his Twitter bio reads, “Offensive Line Coach, University of Michigan.” If that is indeed the case, then Warinner has broken news that the reports from Friday were true.
Also on Friday, former Wolverines offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Tim Drevno stepped down from his positions. With Drevno stepping down, that opened up the door for a new OL coach to be hired.
Warinner is a former Ohio State and Minnesota offensive line coach and was hired a month ago by Jim Harbaugh as an offensive analyst. During Warinner’s time with the Buckeyes, he was also a co-offensive coordinator during his five seasons (2012-2016).
