Tennessee just lived a miserable first half.
The Volunteers were completely dominated in the first two quarters against Georgia on Saturday, trailing 24-0 by halftime at Neyland Stadium. Before beginning the third quarter, Tennessee coach Butch Jones addressed a few questions with CBS Sports’ Allie LaForce.
Check out what Jones had to say before beginning the second half.
LaForce: Where does it start to turn things around offensively?
Jones: “It’s discipline and [execution]. We’re not doing that. Then it comes down to red-zone defense on third down, and we just have to go in, make some adjustments. But it just comes down to execution. But again, we can’t play sloppy on offense. They’re too good of a defensive football team.”
LaForce: Do consider a quarterback change in second half?
Jones: “No, we’ll go, we’ll regroup and we’ll see what gives us the best opportunity to win the football game.”
LaForce: How do you rally your team?
Jones: “They’ll rally. They’re very prideful. They understand we’ve made some critical mistakes. It’s a long football game.”
