Former Texas Tech wide receiver Danny Amendola was back in Lubbock, Texas, for ESPN’s College GameDay.
The game between No. 6 Texas Tech and No. 8 Kansas, which is set for a 4:15 p.m. ET start on ESPN, is pivotal in the Big 12 championship race.

The Red Raiders dismantled the Jayhawks 85-73 in Lawrence, Kan., on Jan. 3. Texas Tech looked to have the best shot at ending Kansas’ Big 12 title run. The Red Raiders are now one game back in the Big 12 standings, however, after losing at Baylor last Saturday and at Oklahoma State on Wednesday.
A win for Texas Tech on Saturday would ensure the program the tiebreaker in the Big 12 tournament seeding over Kansas if both teams finish with identical conference records.
Kansas has look liked a different lately with a 30-point win over Oklahoma and a gritty 77-69 win over West Virginia last Saturday.
