In a bizarre turn of events, Kansas State senior Cre Moore was ejected from the Wildcats’ game against Baylor on Saturday for targeting.

The defensive back came over to assist linebacker Elijah Sullivan in stopping Baylor’s Trestan Ebner on third-and-9 early in the first quarter.

The ball was marked short of the first down on the run, a timeout was taken and when the broadcast returned to action from commercial, the referee cited Moore for a targeting penalty.

Moore made contact with Ebner, but it was a group effort in bringing down the Baylor player.

The home crowd was obviously not pleased with the call.

Moore is a senior from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He came on as a starter late in the 2016 season after playing sparingly as a redshirt freshman and sophomore.
