Jarren Williams was a star again on Friday night.
The Kentucky quarterback commit led his Central Gwinnett (Ga.) team to a 38-36 win against Lakeside-Dekalb (Ga.). Williams accounted for 287 yards of total offense, passing for 232 and rushing for 55. He played a part in all 5 of Central Gwinnett’s touchdowns, 3 passing and 2 rushing.
Williams’ team improved to 4-2 on the season.
The Kentucky commit created a bit of a stir among Wildcats fans this weekend when he decided to visit Alabama. Williams tweeted Saturday afternoon that he was on the way to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to see the Crimson Tide take on Ole Miss, but he soon deleted the tweet.
When SEC Country visited Williams in Lawrenceville, Ga., he said he was firm with Kentucky, but still listening to other schools. In a more recent check in, Williams’ father, Anthony Williams, said Alabama, South Carolina and LSU were the schools still in contact with his son.
Williams is expected to take an official visit to Kentucky this weekend for the Missouri game.
