Chip Kelly likes Neyland Stadium. Or at least he did.
Once upon a time, the former Oregon coach praised Tennessee’s home after coaching against the Volunteers there in 2010. That was a fine day for Kelly, who led the Ducks to a dominant 48-13 victory against the Vols.
Kelly’s name has been floating around in recent days, after the Volunteers were blown out 41-0 against Georgia last Saturday. On Monday, a Tennessee fan, Matt Scroggs, unearthed the old clip below with Kelly talking about that win. Coach Butch Jones, meanwhile, is trying to right the ship in Knoxville.
“Tremendous place to go play a game,” Kelly said in the clip.
“It was a great atmosphere.

It remains to be seen what will become of Jones at Tennessee. And even if Jones leaves, would Kelly even consider Knoxville as a possible stop?
Still, some fans appear to have Kelly Fever.
