Just minutes after freshman John Lovett exploded for a 74-yard score, the Baylor Bears enjoyed much of the same fortune against Kansas State.
Down by 14 in the fourth quarter, Zach Smith connected with Denzel Mims on 2nd-and-12 and the sophomore proceeded to run away from the defense for a 70-yard score to pull Baylor back within one score.

Along with becoming Baylor’s second 70-yard explosion in three drives, Mims’ touchdown reception marked the Bears seventh 70-yard play of the season.
As a result, Mims has now surpassed the 100-yard for the second time in as many games after doing so last week against Oklahoma, in which he hauled in 11 receptions for 192 yards and 3 touchdowns.
