Oklahoma maintained its perch at No. 3 in the latest edition of the Associated Press Top 25.
The Sooners rank only behind No. 1 Alabama, which comes off a 66-3 dismantling of Ole Miss, and No. 2 Clemson, which got a road win over Virginia Tech 31-17. Oklahoma had an open date this week after a 49-41 win over Baylor in Week 4.
Oklahoma ranked No. 3 in the Amway Coaches Poll as well for the second straight week.
The Sooners have been ranked third in each of the past three AP polls. They had jumped up to No. 2 after beating Ohio State in Week 2, but dropped after Clemson beat Louisville.
Oklahoma will host Iowa State this week. The Cyclones are coming off a 17-7 loss at home to Texas on Thursday night.
