The Cowboys beat the Texas Tech Red Raiders in dramatic fashion Saturday, but they remained at No. 15 in the AP poll despite the win. In the Amway Coaches’ poll, Oklahoma State was ranked 14th.
The Cowboys will have a much-needed bye after a tough pair of games against TCU and Texas Tech.
They have a loss, but they still have a shot at the College Football Playoff and the Big 12 Championship. They’re still one of the most explosive offenses in the nation. Their defense seems to have figured some things out against a dynamic Texas Tech attack.
After their bye, Oklahoma State will get a crack at a depleted Baylor team. The Bears are currently 0-5, and struggling severely. The Cowboys will likely get a big win there, then move on to Texas, and end the month with a big matchup against West Virginia.
October is going to be a month of rest for Oklahoma State, with a lot of their big tests coming in November and beyond.
