A familiar face headlines the Big 12’s latest weekly honors.
Following a heroic performance in the West Virginia Mountaineers 46-35 comeback win over then-No. 24 Texas Tech, quarterback Will Grier has been named as the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week and Newcomer of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

In the home win that lifted West Virginia to 4-2 on the season, Grier completed 31 of 42 passes for 352 yards and 5 touchdowns, bolstering what’s been a statement 2017 campaign thus far.
Grier is now up to 2,093 yards on the season and his 21 touchdown passes stand as the most in college football.
Monday now marks the third time the junior transfer from Florida has taken home Big 12 Newcomer of the Week honors unjust six games this season and his first award as the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week.
