Wisconsin star TE Troy Fumagalli is questionable for the Badgers’ game at Nebraska on Saturday. RB Taiwan Deal was also listed a questionable on the Badgers’ injury report on Monday.
Fumagalli missed this last week’s game against Northwestern, a 33-24 Wisconsin win, because of left leg injury. Fumagalli leads the Badgers in receptions (15), yards (236) and is tied with Quintez Cephus for the team lead with 3 touchdowns.
Deal, a junior, hasn’t played this season. He rushed for 503 yards in 2015 and then 2016 yards las season.
“Troy I think we’ll see,” Badgers coach Paul Chryst said Monday morning. “He feels better certainly today than he did a week ago at this time. So it’ll be as the week progresses. And Taiwan just starting doing some individual, so we’ll see what he can handle. Too early to tell on Taiwan for sure. And Troy we’ll just see each day.”
