The sixth-ranked Wittenberg volleyball team beat No. 3 Juniata 25-21, 25-14, 14-25, 25-22 in a NCAA Division III regional final in Huntingdon, Pa., on Sunday. The Tigers (27-2) advance to the final eight of the tournament in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Wittenberg lost 3-2 to Juniata at the Wittenberg National Invitational on Sept. 5. No. 4 Calvin handed the Tigers their only other loss, 3-1 on Oct. 16.
The Tigers are three victories from their second national title. They won the championship in 2011. They will play No. 18 Clarkson in the national quarterfinals on Thursday.
