Dayton Flyers interviews: Grant, Landers, Toppin look back at Battle 4 Atlantis, talk about Mississippi State game

Flyers are 4-2 with two home games coming up

Here are some highlights from the interviews as well as the complete video interviews. The Flyers (4-2) talked about their trip to the Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis and their game at 7 p.m. Friday against No. 25 Mississippi State at UD Arena.

• Grant on the next game: “We haven’t really started our prep for Mississippi State yet, but obviously we know they have a lot of returning from last year. They’re a very talented team.”

• Toppin on facing No. 4 Virginia in the Battle 4 Atlantis semifinals: “Virginia was a really good team. We just played really hard against them. I felt our team fought and did everything we could to try and win.”

• Landers on what he learned about the team from the three games in the Bahamas: “I didn’t learn anything. I already knew what we were capable of doing. We’re going to compete with whoever our opponent is. We showed that to the world.”
