The Dallas Cowboys have to be excited about getting another pass rusher back into the mix defensively, as defensive end David Irving’s four-game suspension is now officially up.
While Irving will be back in the mix, sometimes it can be tough for players missing time to get right back into the mix, but Cowboys fans are hoping that isn’t the case. And from the sound of it, Irving seems like he’ll be ready to roll.
As Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News reports, Irving has spent “nearly every day” while suspended working out.
Cowboys DE David Irving said he's been working out nearly every day while suspended the first 4 weeks at the Michael Johnson Performance center in McKinney. He said he's even been doing some boxing. Said he's ready to go.

Obviously, the return of Irving is huge for the Cowboys, but fortunately, the team has 12 sacks on the season, ranking them tied for third-most in the league. An impressive 7.5 of those have come from DeMarcus Lawrence alone, though, so having Irving added will only help both Lawrence and the rest of this pass rush.
He’ll certainly be a name to watch in Week 5, but it sounds as if he’ll hit the ground running right out of the gate.
