Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr doesn’t want to miss anymore time after being out for the fourth quarter of their Week 4 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Carr went down late in the third quarter with a back injury, and didn’t return to the game. He admitted that he is pain, but said that it would take a lot for him to miss the Raiders’ next game against Baltimore Ravens.
“[I’m feeling] not too good. We lost. That never feels good.” Carr said via ESPN’s Michael Gelken.
Carr also said that he’s had x-rays, and he expects to get an MRI on Monday, via Gelken.
The Raiders have lost two consecutive games, after beginning the season with an impressive 2-0 start. Before the season they were expected to compete for an AFC West championship. However, with the Kansas City Chiefs’ undefeated start, and the Broncos’ defense looking impenetrable, Carr needs to come back and play like one of the best quarterbacks in the league for the Raiders to hang on in this competitive division.
