The Dallas Cowboys suffered a setback in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Rams. While they had control of the game at halftime and were up 24-16, the Rams got the job done late to send the Cowboys to 2-2 on the season.
While it’s obviously still early, the Cowboys playoff odds apparently took a pretty big a hit after their loss to the Rams. As Brandon Lee Gowton of Bleeding Green Nation shows, Football Outsiders odds for the Cowboys dropped almost 20 percent in one week.

This comes paired with the Philadelphia Eagles moving to 3-1 on the season with a win over the Los Angeles Chargers. The Washington Redskins dropped a close one on Monday Night Football to the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs as well.
While these odds are somewhat concerning, it’s not exactly the end of the world. We’re only through one-quarter of the NFL season and the Cowboys have dealt with multiple defensive injuries which have left them shorthanded at many positions, including in their secondary.
Even still, it seems as if the NFC East could be a battle that winds up coming down to the final weeks of the 2017 NFL season, just like we had become accustomed to seeing up until just a few seasons ago.
