Former Dunbar High School standout A.J. Harris is headed west.

Harris, who left the Ohio State program in March after one season in Columbus, announced Friday night on Twitter that he was transferring to New Mexico State.

A 5-foot-9 point guard, Harris averaged just 2.8 points per game in a mostly reserve role for the Buckeyes. He played in all 35 games, but made just four starts.

Harris will sit out this season due to NCAA transfer rules.
