The 14th annual Premier Health Flyin’ to the Hoop basketball invitational runs Friday through Monday at Fairmont’s Trent Arena in Kettering.
The event features a record 42 teams from 12 states. It kicks off with a pair of games Friday, then seven each on Saturday, Sunday and Monday featuring some of the top teams in the area, state and nation.
Over the years, several future NBA players have participated in Flyin’, including J.R. Smith (2003), Rudy Gay (2003), Daequan Cook (2005), Brandon Jennings (2007), Jared Sullinger (2009), Avery Bradley (2009), Brandon Knight (2010), Anthony Davis (2011), Jabari Parker (2011), Gary Harris (2012), Andrew Wiggins (2012) and Emmanuel Mudiay (2013).
Here are six players to watch in this year’s event:
Josh Jackson, 6-7, F, Prolific Prep
