H.S. Results for 12/14: Rogan, Urbana stay hot

Hunter Rogan and her Urbana teammates continued their recent hot streak Wednesday night, winning their second in a row after opening the season with five losses by rallying to beat Springfield Shawnee, 50-40, in Central Buckeye Conference girls high school basketball.

Rogan scored 28 points and pulled down eight rebounds. The 5-foot-7 senior is averaging 24.7 points per game this season and has scored 99 points in Urbana’s last three games.

Alania Lyons added 16 points for Urbana (2-5, 1-3), which outscored Shawnee, 18-5, in the fourth quarter. Bridget Ofori had 13 rebounds, Madilyn Horn 7.

Des Parks led Shawnee (1-6, 0-3) with 11 points and Olivia Potts added 10.

Girls Basketball

Beavercreek 72, Chaminade Julienne 51: Beavercreek improved to 5-2 behind big nights from Bailey Draughn (21 points), Cori Dilsavor (19) and Keira Youngblood (18). Annie Weckeser scored 16, Staci Greene 14 for CJ (3-4).

Benjamin Logan 62, Greenon 41: Nikki Current's 21 points led Ben Logan (4-3, 3-0) to a big victory in a battle of teams previously unbeaten in the Central Buckeye Conference. Lydia Henry's 17 points topped Greenon (3-3, 2-1).

Edgewood 41, Badin 40: Unbeaten Edgewood (6-0) trailed by 8 points entering the fourth quarter, but rallied behyind Cierra Lipps' 16 points. Emma Broermann scored 11 for Badin (3-3).

Fairborn 63, West Carrollton 52: Everlyn Oklavic scored 23 points, Kaylie Cook 16 and Jana Brown-Griffith 10 as the Skyhawks picked up their first win of the season.

Graham 44, Indian Lake 33: Graham earned its first victory behind Kayla Tullis (14 points).

Lakota West 68, Lakota East 12: Lakota West led, 33-1, and halftime and allowed only four fields goals all night. Abby Prohaska scored 18 points, Jasmine Bellew 11 for West (6-1, 4-1). Jasmine Floyd's 7 points led East (1-6, 1-3).

Mason 70, Fairfield 43: Mason (7-0, 5-0) shot to a 22-7 lead after one quarter and never looked back. Samari Mowbray scored 17 points and Megan Wagner handed out 7 assists. Zahiya Bailey's 13 points led Fairfield (5-2, 3-1).

Northmont 66, Miamisburg 45: Emily Kepple scored 16 points, but Miamisburg fell to 3-3, 1-1.

Oak Hills 60, Hamilton 31: Hamilton remained winless despite 16 points from Kira Ash.

Sidney 52, Piqua 39: Tylan Yeomann and Kelsey Magoteaux both scored 8 points for Piqua, which fell to 1-6.

Springboro 35, Fairmont 28: Springboro is 6-1 after its victory.

Stebbins 63, Springfield 37: Mackenzie Lingg dropped in four 3-point goals on her way to 14 points and Bryanna Bransford scored a team-high 16 as Stebbins climbed to 5-1. Ariana Rinehart led Springfield with 14.

Tippecanoe 64, Greenville 23: Allison Mader scored 18, Cali Stewart 11 and Taylor Prall 10 as Tippecanoe moved to 4-1.

Vandalia 43, Troy 32: Tyree Fletcher scored 12 points for Vandalia (5-2, 2-1), which led, 18-4, after the first quarter. Jordan Short scored 9 to lead Troy (3-2, 1-2).

Boys Basketball

Ponitz 89, Jefferson 36: Floyd Scott scored 25, Tykell Brooks 22 for Ponitz, which also got 10 points and 14 rebounds from Eric Sealey.

Boys Bowling

Xenia 2284, Tippecanoe 2210: James Ridgeway and Nick Lanham had 247 and 237 games for Tippecanoe.

Northeastern 2387, Greeneview 1452: Logan Ballard (409) and C.J. Parsons (396) led Northeastern.

Middletown 2641, Talawanda 2409: Chris Cupp (404) and Danny Temple (393) came up big and freshman Matthew Minor added a 210 game for Middletown.

Girls Bowling

Xenia 1770, Tippecanoe 1550: Ashlyn Herzog's 318 series was high for Tippecanoe.

Middletown 2181, Talawanda 1685: Junior Abi Blandford rolled a career-high 207 in Middletown's win.
