HS Roundup 1/3: Hapgood helps Oakwood earn rally victory

Lauren Hapgood helped spur Oakwood in a 51-44 rally victory versus Milton-Union in Wednesday girls basketball.

Hapgood netted 16 points in the final quarter, finishing with 31 on the night. Margie Conrath tacked on 12 points.

Kristen Dickison tallied 22 points and Rachel Thompson hauled in 14 rebounds for Milton-Union.

Arcanum 85, Twin Valley South 30: Arcanum broke a scoring record set in 1983 and also set the record for steals in a game with 19. Kayla O’Daniel led four players in double-digit scoring at 17 points and Madelyn Fearon tacked on 16.

Beavercreek 46, Tippecanoe 22: Kirsten Williams scored 18 points and the ‘Creek defense held Tippecanoe to five points in the first half.

Bradford 53, Tri-County North 17: Austy Miller accounted for 22 points for Bradford.

Catholic Central 77, Northeastern 33: Serenity Castle scored 26 points, Abbigail Peterson 17 and Mallory Mullen 11 for Catholic Central.

Chaminade Julienne 46, Bellbrook 35: Jordyn Varise and Eve Monaghan combined to shoot 9-of-10 from the foul line in the fourth quarter to help CJ pull away. Varise finished with 16 points.

Coldwater 54, Parkway 30: Lauren Gilliland led Coldwater with 19 points and 13 rebounds and Alli May added 16 points.

Covington 64, Newton 35: Sammi Whiteman scored 22 points for Covington. Brooke Deeter netted 11 points for Newton.

Delphos SJ’s 70, New Knoxville 69: Betty Vorst helped DSJ hold off a New Knoxville rally with 22 points. Ellie Gabel netted 23 points for New Knoxville.

Fort Loramie 53, Anna 35: Taylor Ratermann scored all 12 of her points off of three-pointers for Fort Loramie. Lauren Barhorst led Anna with 14 points.

Franklin Monroe 51, National Trail 26: Chloe Peters chipped in 19 points, Corina Conley 12 and Belle Cable 11 for Franklin Monroe.

Graham 42, Xenia 39: Lexi King led Graham with 16 points in a close victory.

Mechanicsburg 42, Madison-Plains 26: Grace Forrest finished with 13 points and Emma Jones added 11 for ‘Burg.

Miami East 67, Mississinawa Valley 21: Morgan Haney had 26 points with 11 assists and eight steals to pace Miami East. Camryn Miller chipped in 10 points.

Southeastern 38, Triad 30: Frani LeVan tallied 22 points in a losing effort for Triad.

Springboro 56, Alter 38: Peyton Nation put up 16 points with seven boards and Rachel Gillum chipped in 10 points with eight rebounds for ‘Boro. Julia Paley paced Alter with 10 points.

Tri-Village 55, Bethel 28: Meghan Downing tallied 19 points and Lissa Siler scored 18 to pace Tri-Village.

Versailles 69, New Bremen 55: Danielle Kunk scored 18 points and Kelsey Custenborder chipped in 16 to lead four players in double-digit scoring for Versailles. Kelly Naylor netted 18 points for New Bremen.

West Liberty-Salem 45, Greeneview 31: Selena Weaver tallied 15 points and Gabby Hollar tacked on 10 for WLS. Kenzie Harding had 13 points for Greeneview.
