HS Roundup 5/10: Lebanon softball knocks off Miamisburg

Lebanon softball knocked off Miamisburg, 10-0, in the Division I sectional tournament matchup.

Kat Frank pitched a complete game in the shutout victory.

Madison DeGennaro led offensively with three hits, two runs scored and two RBIs.

Ashley West tacked on two hits and Ashleigh Riffel rounded out the scoring with a homerun.

Lebanon will take on Tecumseh on Monday, May 14 at Fairmont.

Baseball

Sectional Tournament

Butler 11, Tecumseh 1: Dolen Fults, Carson Clark and Evan McKinney scored two runs each in the sectional tournament victory. Fults tacked on two hits, two RBIs and ran for a triple in the win. Ryan Qvick was the winning pitcher for Butler with six strikeouts and five innings pitched.

Ben Logan 4, Northwestern 3: Ben Logan sealed the deal on a walk-off error in the bottom of the ninth inning. Micah Anderson, Cole Waugh, Jacob Powell and Garrett Dixon all collected multiple hits for Ben Logan in the sectional victory.

Fenwick 14, Indian Hill 2: Keegan Corbett and Matt Fink each had three hits to lead Fenwick in the win. Fink tacked on four RBIs while Zach Lorei threw for the win from the mound.

Kenton Ridge 12, Urbana 2: Calvin Dilbert picked up his seventh win of the season, continuing his undefeated streak. Quinton Roach batted 5-for-5 as Zach Schneider went 2-for-3 with two RBI in the Division II sectional victory.

St. Henry 16, Delphos St. John’s 0: Dayton Lange pitched his sixth consecutive complete game and third shutout, moving to 42 innings pitched without allowing an earned run. Parker Link batted 4-for-4 and ran for a double in the D-IV sectional championship game.

Softball

Sectional Tournament

Kenton Ridge 5, Ben Logan 0: Haley Wilson had two hits and ran for a triple in the shutout loss. Kinzie Jones and LeAnn Regula tacked on a hit each with Jones picking up a stolen base.

Monroe 17, Alter 0: Alyssa Wagner struck out eight batters in the shutout victory, increasing her season total to 173 on the year. Sam Schwab led offensively with two hits, two RBIs and a double. Shelby York tacked on five RBIs and two hits in the win.

Mechanicsburg 24, Dayton Christian 1: Audrey Ayers exploded for five RBIS, three hits, one triple and one double in the blow-out win over Dayton Christian. Kasey Schipfer, Mallory Blakeman and Hannah DeLong each tacked on three RBIs. Francys King struck out eight batters in the win.

Boys Volleyball

Alter 3, Purcell Marian 0: Ben Conroy paved the way in the sweep victory with 18 assists, four aces and three digs. Thomas Junker tacked on six kills and five digs, while Noah Hart rounded out the effort with six aces.
