Series history: Dayton leads 28-16. La Salle won 71-53 last season at Tom Gola Arena in Philadelphia. La Salle has lost 13 straight games to the Flyers at UD Arena. The Explorers' last win in Dayton came on Feb. 27, 1999.

Coaches: Anthony Grant is 33-27 in his second season at Dayton. Ashley Howard is 9-19 in his first season at La Salle. Howard was hired in April after serving as an assistant coach at Villanova the last five seasons.
