Trotwood standout Ra’veion Hargrove makes college decision

Running back helped lead Rams to Division III state title game in 2016

One of the area’s most electric players has made his college decision.

Trotwood-Madison running back Ra’veion Hargrove gave a verbal commitment on Tuesday to Bowling Green State University. The senior-to-be made the announcement on his Twitter account.

The 5-foot-8, 170-pounder is the 50th-ranked player in the Class of 2018, according to 247Sports.

Hargrove rushed for 1,699 yards and 21 touchdowns last season to lead the Rams to the Division III state title game. All he did as a sophomore was record the all-time best single season in area history: 3,039 yards and 41 TDs. The yardage was the ninth-best season total in state history.

Bowling Green, the 2015 Mid-American Conference champion, was 4-8 last season under first-year head coach Mike Jenks.
