Two Reds prospects will play in All-Star Futures Game

Greene, Trammell selected for July 15 game in Washington, D.c.

Hunter Greene and Taylor Trammell, the second- and third-ranked prospects in the Cincinnati Reds organization, were named to the United States roster for the All-Star Futures Game on Friday.

Greene, a right-handed pitcher for the Single-A Dayton Dragons, and Tramell, and outfielder for the Single-A Daytona Tortugas, will represent the Reds organization in the game at 4 p.m. July 15 at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.

The Futures Game features a matchup of U.S. and International prospects. The game will be televised on the MLB Network.

Greene was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 draft. He’s 3-6 with a 4.18 ERA in 15 starts. Trammell, the 35th overall pick in 2016, is hitting .311 with six home runs and 28 RBIs.
