WATCH: Former Bengals kicker nails 61-yard game-winner for Eagles

Former Cincinnati Bengals kicker Jake Elliott hit a 61-yard, game-winning field goal today, lifting the Philadelphia Eagles to a 27-24 victory against the New York Giants.

The rookie also hit a game-tying 46-yarder with 51 seconds remaining.

The Bengals drafted Elliott in the fifth round and let him battle with incumbent Randy Bullock through the preseason. Bullock won the job by going 6 of 7 on field goals while Elliott was 4 of 7.

When Elliott went unclaimed after the Bengals cut him Sept. 2, the team brought him back on the practice squad the following day. But Philadelphia lost kicker Caleb Sturgis in the season opener and plucked Elliott on Sept. 12.

Elliott, who missed a 52-yarder earlier Sunday, is 4 of 6 on field goals in his two games with the Eagles.
