Wright State baseball clinches HL title, will host tournament

Due to weather related cancellations last weekend, Wright State’s victory against Milwaukee on Saturday at Miller Park enabled the Raiders to clinch the Horizon League regular season title, which means they will host the conference tournament at Nischwitz Stadium.

It’s the ninth time WSU has won a regular-season championship, and sixth time as a member of the Horizon League.

As the top seed, WSU (32-15) will begin play at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 24, against the winner of the May 23 game between the 4 and 5 seeds, which are yet to be determined.

The Raiders have four games remaining in the regular season, beginning today at Bowling Green. The final HL series of the year kicks off Thursday at Fifth Third Field against Northern Kentucky.
